Mobile phone

A mobile phone (also called mobile, cellular phone, cell phone or handphone) is an electronic device used for full duplex two-way radio telecommunications over a cellular network of base stations known as cell sites. Mobile phones differ from cordless telephones, which only offer telephone service within limited range through a single base station attached to a fixed land line, for example within a home or an office. Low-end mobile phones are often referred to as feature phones, whereas high-end mobile phones that offer more advanced computing ability are referred to as smartphones.

A mobile phone allows its user to make and receive telephone calls to and from the public telephone network which includes other mobiles and fixed line phones across the world. It does this by connecting to a cellular network owned by a mobile network operator. A key feature of the cellular network is that it enables seamless telephone calls even when the user is moving around wide areas via a process known as handoff or handover.

In addition to being a telephone, modern mobile phones also support many additional services, and accessories, such as SMS (or text) messages, email, Internet access, gaming, Bluetooth, infrared, camera, MMS messaging, MP3 player, radio and GPS.

The first hand held phone was demonstrated by Martin Cooper of Motorola in 1973, using a handset weighing in at two kilos. In the year 1990, 12.4 million people worldwide had cellular subscriptions. By the end of 2009, only 20 years later, the number of mobile cellular subscriptions worldwide reached approximately 4.6 billion, 300 times the 1990 number, penetrating the developing economies and reaching the bottom of the economic pyramid.

Samsung B7722 - first dual-sim phone with 3G-communication

Confirming the news from the end of May, the South Korean giant launched the sale of its first phone with two SIM-cards and 3G-module communication. Start new items did not begin with the familiar Eastern European and Asian countries, and from Sweden - here the apparatus is little more than $ 500. It is argued that in emerging markets, including domestic, the price of Samsung B7722 will be displayed within 400 dollars.

Alas, full 3G-HSDPA 900/2100 MHz coupling this candybar boast not: only one of the SIM-card can work in 3G-range. However, other characteristics are good: 3.2-inch touchscreen display with a rather unusual resolution of 240 by 432 pixels (such as, incidentally, has a Samsung Instinct), GUI TouchWiz, 5-megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash modules, Wi-Fi 802.11 b / g and stereo-Bluetooth 2.1, FM-radio with RDS, 200 MB internal flash memory slot for microSD-cards, integrated social services, a music player with support for improved sound technology Digital Natural Sound engine (DNSe), battery for 1200 mAh
A pleasant surprise is that the B7722 still looks better than his fellow B7702, prepared for China.

LG will release 20 Android-phones

Let LG and is the third largest producer in the world phones after Nokia andSamsung is South Korean corporation can not boast an abundance of Android-smartphone in its portfolio. But soon everything will change.

In any case, LG plans are truly grand. With now only five Android-devices (LG GW620, LG Optimus GT540, LG Ally for Verizon Wireless, LG Optimus Q LU2300 and LG SU2300), the company hopes to release before the end of the year a further 20 devices running Google-platform.

At the beginning of 2009, LG’s phone business spun around Windows Mobile, but then had to change its views because of the aggressive offensive Android. Again, Microsoft has promised to develop a completely new environment - Windows Phone 7. As a result, LG, without waiting for the latter, made a bet on the prospects of Android.

Motorola, incidentally, recently shared similar plans to release two dozenAndroid-smartphone also this year.

BlackBerry 9670 non-sensor clamshell BlackBerry OS 6.0

An emerging new Research in Motion is positioned as a phone for the adherents of the traditional control through physical QWERTY-keyboard and touch touchpad. The device has received the latest, but still not left the systemBlackBerry OS 6.0.

As can be seen on the videos, home screen is changed, the eight icons on it easily customizable for themselves. There is a search bar to find the messages and files in your phone. In general, the interface is not very different from a family of BlackBerry OS 5.x.

Modified media player, received a new interface that simplifies the fast-forward and search for other songs of that artist.

Clamshell BlackBerry 9670 is equipped with nesensornym screen, physical QWERTY-keyboard, touch touchpad. The phone has a basic HVGA-screen and an additional external screen, 5-megapixel camera with flash, 512 MB RAM, 4 GB of internal flash memory and card slot for microSD-memory. On board there are modules Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth, GPS.

Fly E135 TV

From this model, in touchphone from Fly will be pre-set well-known application iDea Widgets, which provides access to various social networks and more. In my opinion, iDea Widgets - not the best program on the market, there are more interesting and functional applications. But for an inexperienced user, and this software should be quite sufficient.

Philips X703

Functionally, the model is a copy of the model Philips K700, just in a different, more “strict” case. At first glance, it might seem that the X703 is designed for an adult audience, which is not like the youth style K700, but it is only if you have seen only the faceplate phone. Turn the machine, and you’ll see the back wall, which is covered with a pattern as a “mosaic”. This solution is more appropriate “female” phone and obviously deter buyers who want to buy machinery with strict design. Frankly, I was confident that the company would venture to deliverX703 with a back wall, but unfortunately, the producer thinks differently, and your phone will get us to market it as such.

Philips X806

Almost an exact copy of Philips X830, but in another, more rigorous design and with two SIM-cards. The phone has a single radio module for two SIM-cards, so that their simultaneous operation is possible only in standby mode. Models have difficult market, because in April we will already begin selling large vehicle LG GX500, which is slightly more expensive phone from Philips, but wondered whether WiFi module and a better software platform. Incidentally, the Philips X806 and LG GX500 mounted almost identical capacity battery, 1530 mAh in the 806-m and 1500 mAh, respectively, GX500, so that the gain from a more capacious battery, this time at the Philips will not work.

Sony Ericsson X10 Mini

Little Android-phone which has its own chips, in particular, the unusual control with icons in the corners of the screen, removable panels. Toy phone, which will attract children, women, but not the stronger sex. Buyers do not like extremes, but this unit relates to such, it is too little. It can fall in love or stay cool. Most did not respond to a model, but he who loves will love long and passionately. There are no special sales, this model will have no prospects in Russia, and in the world, very modest.
